The Honourable Health Minister of Punjab, Balbir Singh, visited the Akal
Drug De-Addiction Centre in Cheema, Sangrur, where he inspected the
wards and lauded the holistic treatment provided by the centre,
particularly highlighting their integration of spiritual therapy. He
commended the social work and dedication of Dr. Col Rajinder Singh, who
has been voluntarily serving in the field of drug abuse for the last
three decades. Remarkably, at 90 years old, Dr. Col Rajinder Singh
continues to inspire young generation psychiatrists with his commitment
to the cause.
