The Cause
The Kalgidhar Trust, a worldwide known humanitarian charity organisation strives to check the grave malady of drug addiction affecting the society in general, and the youth of Punjab and neighbouring regions in particular. To tackle this overwhelming issue that is ruining the youth, The Kalgidhar Trust came out with effective innovative blend of modern medical management of drug addiction cases combining yoga and spiritual therapy to ensure a better recovery rate, and set up two Akal Drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centres, one each in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh at Cheema Sahib and Baru Sahib, respectively.
The Mission
As part of transformation of society, particularly rural, The Kalgidhar Trust embarked upon health mission “Envisaging Drug Free Society” to provide holistic treatment to rural, low-income group patients who cannot afford to get good treatment facilities for drug addiction. The Trust under the blessings and guidance of Padam Shri Shiromani Panth Rattan Late Baba Iqbal Singh ji conceived to set-up Akal Drug De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centres managed by highly experienced team of experts to provide holistic treatment combining medicine, yoga and spiritual therapy
