A study titled “The long-term impact of a holistic inpatient treatment program for substance use disorder” conducted at the Akal Drug De-Addiction Centre, Cheema Sahib in the year 2019-2020 brought out the following facts:
Holistic treatment by Akal Drug-De-Addiction Centre impacts better recovery from substance abuse
Holistic treatment (including spirituality) at our Centre enabled overall improvement in psychosocial functioning of the patients.
Overwhelming majority of patients appreciated good treatment facility and service provided by our Centre that helped in their recovery
The abstinent group of patients had higher proportion of current employment and marital adjustment
