T.S Central State Library, Chandigarh organised a unique workshop called 'Wellness with Exams'.
Poor preparation for exams is one of the main causes of exam stress, along with an unfriendly home environment, especially parental discouragement. Dr. Col Rajinder Singh, a speaker at a mental well-being and interactive workshop titled “Wellness with Exams,” shared this insight. The workshop aimed to help individuals overcome stress and anxiety during school, college, and competitive exams. It was organized by the T.S. Central State Library in association with the Akal Psychiatry and Drug De-Addiction Centre.

It was a privilege for me to attend and represent Kalgidhar Trust at an uplifting event organized by Grey Shades Foundation, an NGO dedicated to the welfare of the elderly. The event, aptly named ‘Kirat Kamayee Award 2023,’ honoured 31 individuals aged 80 and above for their profound contributions to society. I had the distinct honour of presenting the award to Baba Sardool Singh, a 114-year-old freedom fighter, educator, and social worker.

He commended the social work and dedication of Dr. Col Rajinder Singh, who has been voluntarily serving in the field of drug abuse for the last three decades. Remarkably, at 90 years old, Dr. Col Rajinder Singh continues to inspire young generation psychiatrists with his commitment to the cause.
